Our Chief Executive Officer is Mr. Tarun Desai, who brings 20 years of experience in supporting battery sales. He is an expert in rechargeable batteries and has published papers in reputed electronic magazines. He has also given numerous seminar talks & lectures on batteries.

Mr. Desai has done his M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kentucky (USA) in 1979, following his B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur in 1976. In addition to his work with Prime Products, he is a consultant for the efficient utilization of computers (under Tech-Excel).

His understanding of Systems has led to the implementation of a sophisticated system at Prime Products. Prior to joining our company, he worked with Energy & Environmental Analysis, Inc., a consulting company in the USA, for 6 years (1979-1985), where he was involved in energy and environmental-related evaluation studies. This experience has provided him with the ability to quickly assess various technical issues.

Aside from his work at Prime Products, Mr. Desai is also an active member of various organizations, such as the Lions Club and the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur alumni.

Quality & Testing Procedures Followed

We adhere to well-defined quality and testing procedures that enable us to meet the demands for high-quality products such as Sealed Lead Acid Battery, NiCD Battery, Ni Mh Battery Pack, Li ion Battery Pack, Ni Mh Battery, and others.

We have a specific procedure in place for each battery to ensure that we deliver high-quality products to our customers. This includes:

Placing a unique serial number sticker on each battery to identify it.
Recording the open circuit voltage and physical condition of the battery upon receipt. This is used to judge the consistency of the lot.
Recording the internal resistance and OCV (open circuit voltage) after charge.
Conducting random sample testing, which involves a complete discharge test of randomly selected samples of each model in each lot.
Reporting any deviations found during testing to the manufacturer for guidance.
Top-charging each battery using a charger with a separate regulated channel. We have learned that Sealed Lead Acid batteries staying in a discharged condition for long periods in Indian conditions do not perform well. Therefore, we recharge all batteries if they are not sold due to any reason within 4 months of the last charge/receipt.
